Planning for college and university life! | Học sinh CIS tiếp cận với cuộc sống Đại học

Ngày 10/9 vừa qua, học sinh CIS đã có cơ hội tham dự buổi chia sẻ thú vị từ ba trường đại học Mỹ: Đại học Rutgers, Đại học Indiana và Đại học Minnesota. Thông qua một trang web bỏ phiếu, các em đã đưa ra lựa chọn với tâm thế như những sinh viên đại học. Các em được tiếp cận với nhiều vấn đề sẽ nảy sinh ở trường đại học, từ học thuật đến các vấn đề cá nhân. Ví dụ, sinh viên cần cân nhắc chuyên ngành cũng như chọn các khóa học tự chọn và câu lạc bộ ngoại khóa. Sinh viên cũng phải lựa chọn về tình trạng nhà ở như có nên ở chung với bạn không? Và làm thế nào để cân bằng các ưu tiên ở trường đại học?
Khoảng 76 học sinh từ lớp 9-12 đã tham dự sự kiện và nhiều em còn nán lại thêm để trò chuyện với các đại diện của trường đại học. Chương trình đã giúp các em có thêm thông tin bổ ích về cuộc sống ở trường Đại học và Cao đẳng cho kế hoạch học tập tương lai. Today CIS had a very different type of "interactive" university presentation from three American universities: Rutgers University, Indiana University and the University of Minnesota. Using a polling website, students made choices using their devices as if they were university students. They were exposed to the wide variety of choices that they will need to make in university, from academics to personal issues. For example, students needed to consider choosing their major as well as choosing elective courses and extra-curricular clubs. They were able to make choices about their housing situation (roommate vs. no roommate?) and how to balance their priorities in university.
About 76 students from Grades 9-12 attended the presentation, and many stayed afterwards to speak to the university representatives. What a great presentation to get all secondary students planning for their life at college and university after CIS! A big thank you to the universities for an engaging and interactive presentation, and to the students for their enthusiasm!
